These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the NRI Helpline platform, including our mobile applications (com.client.nrihelpline), websites, and related assistance services.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading the mobile application, creating an account, or engaging any service through NRI Helpline, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not access or use the platform.
2. Platform Services Overview
NRI Helpline facilitates coordination between Non-Resident Indians ("Clients") and independent verified legal advocates, property inspection professionals, and document procurement liaisons across India. Services include:
- Property surveillance, boundary validation, and tenant coordination.
- Procurement of official revenue documents, encumbrance certificates, and certified registry copies.
- Coordination with independent advocates for legal dispute representation, title scrutiny, and document drafting.
3. Independent Legal Representation Disclaimer
NRI Helpline provides a secure coordination and technological management platform. NRI Helpline is not a law firm and does not itself provide legal advice. Legal representation, court appearances, and formal legal opinions are provided exclusively by independent advocates enrolled with State Bar Councils in India.
Any advocate-client relationship established for formal court representation is directly between the client and the engaged advocate, governed by the Bar Council of India Rules.
4. User Responsibilities & Representations
As a client using NRI Helpline, you represent and warrant that:
- All information, title documents, and facts provided by you are true, accurate, and complete.
- You hold genuine lawful ownership, inheritance interest, or valid power of attorney over any property or subject matter submitted for assistance.
- You will not use the platform for any unlawful purpose, fraud, or intentional harassment.
5. Power of Attorney (PoA) Protocol
Where services require legal execution on your behalf, Power of Attorney documents executed outside India must be duly attested by the Indian Consulate/Embassy and adjudicated/stamped before the competent District Collector/Sub-Registrar in India as prescribed by the Indian Stamp Act.
6. Fees, Milestone Payments & Refunds
- Transparent Estimates: Service quotes and estimated timelines are provided before task initiation.
- Milestone Payments: Fees are linked to clear milestones (e.g. preliminary inspection, record procurement, court filing).
- Statutory Fees: Government stamp duties, court registration fees, and municipal charges are billed at actuals.
- Refunds: If a requested service cannot be initiated or is cancelled prior to commencement of field work or advocate engagement, a refund of uncommitted platform fees will be issued.
7. Limitation of Liability
While NRI Helpline diligently vets all network professionals and enforces quality service standards, NRI Helpline shall not be liable for judicial delays, court backlogs, registry office administrative turnaround times, or decisions rendered by courts and statutory tribunals.
8. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any legal action or proceeding arising out of or related to these Terms shall be instituted exclusively in the competent courts in India.
9. Modifications & Inquiries
We may update these Terms periodically. Continued use of our mobile app or platform following updates constitutes acceptance of revised terms.
